New Book Coming Soon...

Now that the ice has been broken and the first book has been launched without the world's timeline collapsing in on itself or anything else threatening the universe, it seems like a good time to announce the next book hitting Amazon in the near future.  This book is a work of non-fiction and is closely tied to my blog on Fibromyalgia.  It's going to be called Walking Through Fog and will adapt some of the major posts as well as some new material that's finishing up revision and final proofreading as we speak.

While it's an entirely different genre than Public Pretenders, I am actually a bit more excited about this new one.  Sharing your writing for the first time is always a risk.  What if nobody reads it?  What if lots of people read it and nobody likes it?  This is standard for any creativity-based occupation.  While fiction is a moderate risk, often exposing just how bizarre your imagination can get, sharing your personal journey with chronic illness is exponentially higher on the vulnerability scale.

I am nervous at sharing this for the first time, but I am also excited because of the opportunity it presents to open the conversation about chronic illness and mental health.  These are topics that most people are afraid to talk about, but with so many people dealing with it on a daily basis, it needs to be addressed.  It's my hope that this new book will be a chance to reach out to the chronically ill community and beyond in a genuine effort to build communication and trust.   More to come in the near future...
